Alliott Global Alliance (‘AGA’), one of the largest and fastest-growing global multidisciplinary alliances with 215 member firms in 95 countries, is now able to provide law services in Norway through independent law firm Pretor Advokat AS (‘Pretor’) in Trondheim.
Pretor’s affiliation ensures the alliance can represent international companies right across Scandinavia through its law and accounting member firms in the region. Pretor’s decision to join AGA follows that of accounting firm SUMM ApS in Denmark earlier this year.
Established in 1998 by Alf Andersen after ten years practicing in the US, ten partners and a team of legal professionals offer real estate, employment law, corporate M&A, IP, and restructuring and insolvency services to local and international clients in the property, tech, manufacturing, banking, contract, and trade industries. They also have a growing number of clients who have multi-jurisdictional needs in regions such as the USA, Scandinavia, Europe and Asia.
Business is conducted at the firm in the Norwegian, German, and English languages.
Partner and Chairman Tom Solberg comments:
“As our client portfolio has increased, and our clients have expanded their operations and business internationally, the need for service and support in other jurisdictions have increased substantially. As AGA’s law firm representative in Norway, our aim is to work closely with our fellow members across the alliance and, via a single point of contact, offer our clients with international operations, including in the US, Scandinavia, and Europe, additional service offerings in these and other locations.
“Through this membership, we can continue to offer high quality legal services to our clients and by using the AGA brand we can raise the global profile of the firm and market ourselves as a local firm with global reach into law and accounting services in 95 countries. We are honoured to have been appointed as AGA’s law firm representative in Norway, and are looking forward to providing high quality advice and services to clients of international AGA members doing business in Norway”
Alliott Global Alliance’s CEO, Giles Brake adds:
“One of the alliance’s key objectives is to ensure international companies have access to legal and accounting services right across the interconnected economies of the European Union and wider European region. Expanding to Norway through a strong and prestigious law firm was key to this objective, so we are delighted to welcome Tom, Thomas, Rasmus and all the Pretor team in Norway. Our new relationship with this outstanding law firm is another big step forward for the alliance in Scandinavia.
“We look forward to being an integral part of Pretor’s international strategy and we will be providing proactive assistance to build their profile on the international stage.”
AGA has plans to expand its coverage further into the Nordic and Baltic regions and is currently seeking interest from dynamic, growth-minded professional firms in Latvia, Iceland, Estonia, and Lithuania.
